Ramesh,

I have never heard such nonsense as this, point to some proof instead of blind hindu nationalist fiction:

"As for Iran, this is a Indian colony, founded from India. It is historical Indian land, but somehow has grown away from their root. (In old Persian the meaning of some words have become opposite to that in Sanskrit, the mother of all Aryan languages."

Iran was never an Indian colony, One group of Aryans went to India another group to Iran. The Aryans were based around the modern city of Herat and into Turkmenistan and Iranian Khorassan. Herat is an Arabised name derived from Arya, it's ancient Iranian name.

The name Iran itself is a dirivative of Aryan and has been the name for the territory amongst its inhabitants for thouusands of years.

It seems the genetics of most Iranians are closer to that of Greeks and even Italians too than Indians, which I found slightly surprising. It must also be noted that a great many Iranians are still white with a high frequency of light hair and eyes.

It is said that Iranians arrived in the Iranian plateau about 1000-1500 BC and Aryans entered India 3000BC or so. There is no record of the ancestors of the current Iranian population ever being under Indian dominion. The contrary is true of India however with many Persian remnants of all sorts still there.

It would be very useful if you could describe the various methods used to judge genetic distances between the world's various ethnic groups on the "Human Races Calculator" page. It is wonderful to see a lot of genetic comparisons, but I would gladly appreciate it if you could type (or put a reference to) information regarding each method of genetic comparison used to judge racial distance. What is Sforza's genetic method? What do alu-insertion frequencies mean in terms of genetic likenesses? Why are haplotypes and haplogroups significant? If there various methods and schemes can be clarified, I would be happy (I am rather unfamiliar with human genetics myself, but have a casual interest in human evolution and ethnography).

Besides that, excellent job on this site. I like what I see.

Thanks for an interesting site, though it seems down a lot lately.

I'm an American of English-German heritage, and I have a Romanian girlfriend. I'm interested in scientific discussions of ethnic mixing, and what traits our offspring might inherit: the best of both ethnicities, or the worst of both? Any such discussions on your site, or elsewhere?
