Certainly Reps stock is illusive. Copies of both abound 2nd hand or even remaindered old stock on sites like www.ebay.co.uk. BGO records are currently working up to releasing Michaels first 5 albums including Rainmaker and FQS. Incidently a great deal of Michaels material from the Southampton gigs (club and refectory( was released on the growing pains pair of cds (again out of print but readily available on sites like ebay 2nd hand or remaindered Name: City Bournemouth Sent: 20.29 - 26/3 Hi, I've got Rainmaker, Fully Qualified Survivor and Window on vinyl but they have suffered over the years and I am trying to find them on CD. Are the re-issues still available. A web search for the Rainmaker Repertoire number only returned this site. Any info greatly appreciated. I watched Michael play at Southampton University in the sixties and have been a fan ever since. Name: Homepage: City East kilbride Sent: 21.04 - 21/3 I have had the Journeyman DVD on order with Play.com since 02/03/04, yet as of 22/03/04 it has still not arrived, and when i check the status, it says 'Not available' - I know from visiting the bulletin board before, that some people already had the DVD before release date - Is anyone else experiencing probs? Thanks Gordon Name: Homepage: City london Sent: 13.38 - 14/3 Great site! I've just stumbled upon the joys of Mr. Chapman through a random purchace of "The Best of: 1969-71" (basically because I'd heard his name banded about with Roy Harper and Al Stewart). Shame on me for not having discovered you sooner, Michael! So I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to which Lps would be the best introductions to Michael's music? I think I'm in desperate and immediate need of Rainmaker, but the original seems quite difficult to find on a student's budget... Name: Marc Sent: 00.35 - 13/3 New live dates listed. Have more to list over the weekend too. Please check concerts page Name: Marc Sent: 22.56 - 9/3 Michael did a lot of production work through his associations with Fairview Studios (Toy Dolls, The Edge etc) & Richie Close (Jan Grayson) during the 80's and early 90s. Some of his production work like Dave Gardner has grown out of mutual respect and some is in all likelihood more journeyman like. I havent heard the Watt Government single. It maybe that it is not at like Michaels stuff. Still maybe well worth a listen though Name: Sent: 13.45 - 9/3 Have just been looking at item number on www.ebay.co.uk - it's a 7" single by Watt Government 'Working My Fingers To The Bone' & the description says that 'the A-side was produced by the famed Michael Chapman'. Does anyone know anything about this single & whether it's worth buying?
Name: Sent: 18.03 - 27/2 Well I'm confused. I looked at the Live page and saw Michael playing at the Old Marriner in Woodbridge and thought I would go. It said Saturday 22nd Feb but the 22nd was a Sunday and Michael was playing in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 21st, so it must mean Sunday. But when I got there - nothing. So where were you? Is there another Old Mariner pub in Woodbridge? Was the date wrong? Did I miss it? Name: City Beccles,Suffolk. Sent: 11.10 - 24/2 A chilly February Friday night in a quiet Suffolk village.....streets deserted...locals sedately working their way through their Adnams and evening meals in The Griffin....'have we come to the right place ?'....then the unmistakeable sound of a certain guitarist tuning up in the back room....'ah right place !'...'who is that guy with the baseball hat on ?'...I guess only a dozen people really knew....those who perhaps like us had this man and his music threaded through their lives for the past 35 years...but by 11 o'clock there were a few gasps and open mouths amongst the 'unworthy' who only turned up for the Beef Bourgignon...Michael awesome as usual and so laid back I know why he stands these days (just in case he drops off)....but really £8 is daylight robbery...thanks for the charity Michael....and thanks for the DVD which I purchased from the man himself.....BUT it IS time to get a new scriptwriter don't you think ?....enjoy Oz...luv to all Keith and Lesley.
