Name: Hometown: Warwick, RI I have read your ode to a mythic state institution and am greatly impressed. I loved your metaphor "Like a virgin guarding her chastity in a Navy Base". The energy took hold of my psychee, not that it takes much to hold onto so little, and I ound myself unable to stop reading. I have added this page to my favorites and look forward to reading more. Though great literary license was taken with the realities of state institutional life, and though once upon a time it was closer to that which you depict, it is the energy, the fervor, the near mania in your words that held me hostage. Don Name: Hometown: Yarmouthport, MA You have an extraordinary gift for expressing yourself. Your words provoke thought and self reflection. I am touched by your generous gift. Will you be interested in selling one of your piece? Name: Hometown: Pawtucket, RI I have come back to this page many times since it first came to my attention. Every piece on the site evoked such personal images and feelings that it is very difficult to grasp the enormity of the effect your works have on me. I have to be very careful to not feel that I know the person behind the works. This can only be a very small glimpse of the depth and breadth of humanity in an extremely special person. I can only hope that I will eventually end up with someone as strong and expressive as you are. Name: Hometown: Cranston Suzi...your work blows me away. Name: I am a new member of your *very small audience*! I just visited after reading your assertive post in ivillage. Your poems have such resonance that they struck me deeply. I'll be back to read them one moment at a time. Thanks for sharing yourself...........peg Name: Hometown: Nobody's Business :) The adage in poetry 'show don't tell' really applies. I swung over from Ivillage after reading your second post and have to say you need to know as much about the writing of poetry as you do nursing, study it, read LOADS and practice new forms. You're poetry would increase in depth and meaning if you tried to make it live and breath and have the images and words convey what you are saying. Less personal poems also, the very personal is interesting to you and a small audience who is looking for that 'confession's of my soul' is poetry. What poets do you read, how much time do you spend writing, editing and examining why you are doing what you are doing? You have potential but I really think that your poems will have a very small audience as long as they stay locked into the Dear Diary mode. Good Luck Name: Dear Susi .. I have just been reading some more of your poetry .. every poem reminds me of times in my own life .. *smiles* you are truly talented, dear lady Name: You take my breath away, very moving and so close to me.
