The people addressing your discussion board are not exactly debating Lebanon's welfare Mr. Cedarland. Can you not stop them from posting messages? I think it would do you justice to do something about it. Muslims are being called Mudslimes and Allah is desecrated. This is not right Cedarland. it isn't right that your discussion board has been occupied by so called "true Lebanese". It's an insult.

Reply: Dear Sir, Thank you for your comments. Unfortuantely so much rubbish is being posted on the board that I no longer have the time to administrate it so I just ignored it and let the idiots get on with it. Calls by me for decorum have been ignored and quite frankly I can't be bothered with it. I have two options, either leave it as it is or delete it for good. I am not sure what to do. What a shame that so many of our countrymen only have half a brain.

Took me a long time to find a website that has interesting information on my country. It also helped me answer a lot of questions that I had concerning the history and the War (even though I lived the war!).

Georges Antoun, LF Soudouk watani chief, arrived on Wednesday to the USA coming from Lebanon.
Upon arrival, he was received and accommodated by Raji Abdo and Toni Obeid while Ghassan Touma took a trip of 8 hours to come and meet him at Raji's house.
Antoun was sent by Sleiman Franjiyeh & Nader Sucar. His mission is to convince some member of the LF PC and consequently the whole LF PC to work with them and stop hostility and propaganda against the syrian occupation of Lebanon.
Few of our Rifa', in the USA, protested against this visit as Georges Antoun stole the LF money, gave some to Ghazi Kanaan, Roustum Ghazali and to some of the Lebanese moukhbarat and changed camp to become a so-called watani.
Raji's answer to the protesters was that Georges is an old friend and its not for us to judge him its for Hakim to do it once he's out !!!

Great website, so glad I found it.

My amazingly beautiful Grandchildren are half Lebanese & I have gained a wonderful Lebanese son-in-law who came to this country when he was only a young child. The only knowledge he has of his homeland is that which his parents have been able to describe. I will now direct him to this wonderful website which I'm sure will help to fill in the gaps.
I have previously read about Lebanon being referred to in the past as the Switzerland of the Middle East and from your photo's I can see why.

I recently managed to buy a rare 'Lebanon 2000 Rugby Team' cap for my Grandson to treasure with pride of his heritage. The information I found here about the Lebanese Rugby Team I have printed off and will give to my Grandson with the cap.

i stumbled by accident on your web site through the national geographic 10/04 article on the phoenicians.
i viewed the pictures of lebanon 1975-1990. i got sick.i also read the account of the massacres against christians by our compatriots and turks in 1840-1860.
i got sicker. i remember studying the history back in high school in lebanon. but this time it brought real bad memories of the war. i left in 1981, so i was spared the butchery of the eighties.i just don't want to hear or read anymore about maronites / lebanese being killed by foreigners. christians might be anywhere from 30 to 35 % of the total population in lebanon, but that doesn't give the druze/sunni/shiites the right to perpetuate genocides against us. syria is a drain on our economy and our democracy. syria should leave lebanon. how and when remains the question?
