Name: Hometown: Mellerud/Göteborg Sent: 12.21 - fri 17 sep 2004 I look forward to see your videoclips of Okuden also. I am now practicing the shoden from your videoclips. Name: Sent: 11.41 - sat 11 sep 2004 Hi, just to pen in my humble 2 cents. I had saw your videos and frankly I think your movements are very stiff. I had noticed that especially when you are starting draw your sword, it seems you have some hesitation because your wrist move seems to flicker too much. The movement is not natural. Also when you are going to return your sword, the finale seems to me like those of a mime or breakdance or something. Too rigid. Your site truly does justice to the beautiful art of aikido. I look forward to beginning practice with a bokken. Yours in aiki spirit, OSU! Name: Sent: 09.56 - fri 18 jun 2004 To Eddie: I believe you refer to the chiburi I call kaiten. I think it is done in Katori Shintoryu iai-jutsu, but in a slightly different manner. I learned it from Nishio sensei, but if my memory serves me right, I also trained it some with Ichimura sensei, in the early 1970's. Name: Hometown: Fort Collins CO Sent: 22.01 - thu 17 jun 2004 Nice site :) I have never seen another school use the same type of chiburi as mine, until now. Do you know if this "twirling" and striking type of chiburi is common place among Iai schools? My investigations have found it to be quite rare. Name: Sent: 22.27 - tue 15 jun 2004 Name: Sent: 15.42 - fri 28 may 2004 this is the most amazing site i have found on sword arts on the net. it provided all of the technique and background i wanted as a beginner and there must surely be something here for people of all levels. do you have any plans to add more video clips or complete the technique lists because im sure their would be an audience for them. thanks for a great site Name: Sent: 21.33 - wed 26 may 2004 The sword is attached by sticking the scabbard (saya) in the belt on your left side. You can also stick it in through the straps of the hakama, above the belt. Normally, there is a cord (sageo), which is tied around a hakama strap, usually on the right side. Name: Hometown: NYC Sent: 12.57 - thu 20 may 2004 thank you for a great site, could you please tell me how the sword is tied on?
